The society will be academic in nature, interested in the education of drug policy, nature, science and research of psychedelics. Context of recreational or experimental use will be prohibited and not endorsed by the society, and likewise, discussion of adverse events will not be deemphasised.
The aim is to inform members of current scientific research being conducted and provide a channel for debate, discussion and critique. Although the society would focus primarily on the role of psychedelics in medicine, discussions would encompass a multitude and diverse range of psychoactive substances, such as opiates, benzodiazepines and amphetamines. Reiterating the academic mission and values of the society should adhere to DMU and GPhC policy.
