As a Student Trustee, your role will be to sit on a board of trustees; these trustees are a mix of external volunteers, current students and our elected Executive Officers. Together the Trustee Board govern the Union, and work alongside our staff team and student volunteers to provide a visible and empowering Students’ Union for all DMU students.
Student Trustees sit on the Trustee Board of DSU alongside External Trustees and Executive Officer Trustees. Student Trustees are not involved in the day to day running of the Students' Union but take an overview of how the Union is performing, both financially and in delivering services to students. As such you will oversee all the major decisions on behalf of De Montfort Students' Union. The Trustee Board sets out and oversees the strategic direction of DSU, ensuring that it is well managed and meeting its objectives.

Your chance to support our Head of IT with the rebuild of our exciting new website
We are offering 1 or 2 spaces for volunteers with an interest and experience of building websites to help refresh and update our website. The website will inform teachers, young people and parents, from across Leicester and Leicestershire, about the projects and volunteering opportunities we provide.
The new website and will be developed and lead by our volunteer Head of IT. They would also like to support 1 or 2 university aged volunteers to help build their experience portfolio.
If you are interested in getting in to the IT or website building industry, have some experience of building websites and/or coding, would like to work with a highly qualified and experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer and can give us a 3-4 hours a week of your time for up to 3-6 months, please get in touch.

This is an exciting new retail opportunity. LOROS shops generate a huge amount of income from the sale of donations, helping us to make a huge impact to the care we provide to patients and families.
We are recruiting over 50 volunteers to help run the largest charity store in Leicester town centre. Based on the High Street, this brand new store will attract a busy footfall, we are looking for volunteers that can help is with the general tasks below, but also have an eye for fashion and presentation of stock, perhaps you can also help with creating content for our social media channels?

Undergraduate (UG) Faculty Lead reps aim to enhance the student's experience of their individual faculty and beyond. Working with Course Reps, they are elected to listen, give feedback and seek input from the student voice within their faculty for university committees, meetings and campaigns.

They work to make the student experience better for those with caring duties and make their time at university more flexible around their lifestyle.
