Mohit Chandrakant Shivnani

My name is Mohit Chandrakant Shivnani, currently a final year student of BA (Hons) in Business Management and Human Resource Management at De Montfort University, I am originally from Gujarat, India and moved to the UK as an International student in 2022.

Since then, I have served DMU as a Board Member, Student Ambassador and Course Representative and have helped international students addressing with their individual issues. Throughout my academic and professional journey, I have consistently demonstrated a commitment to fostering an environment that encourages innovation, continuous improvement and inclusivity among the student population. My experiences have equipped me with the skills necessary to excel in the multifaceted role of an Academic Executive Officer and it has also allowed me to engage with diverse stakeholders to gather feedback, including faculties, students, and university administrators, fostering collaboration and driving positive changes in academic policies and programs. In addition to this, I have also worked with stakeholders to convert ideas into executable plans.

One of my strengths lies in strategic planning and execution of academic campaigns. I have successfully led initiatives that addressed mentoring Business Management and Human Resource Management students, resulting in tangible improvements in their academic experience. This aligns with the responsibilities outlined for the Academic Executive Officer position and hence I believe that I will be a good fit for this role.
