Being an international student, I am aware of the particular difficulties associated with learning in a foreign place, such as adjusting to a new culture, overcoming homesickness, and juggling the intricacies of housing, economics, and visas. These are the kinds of experiences that, frequently in ways rarely encountered by kids in our area, mould our time in college. I am standing for the position of Part-Time Officer for International Students for these and many other reasons. My main objective, should I be chosen, will be to speak up for and represent the interests of international students, making sure that our opinions are not only heard but also taken into consideration. In all facets of university life, including academics, social interactions, and overall, I hope to foster an environment that is more welcoming and helpful to international students. I'll advocate for greater academic support services, such as improved language access, that are designed especially for overseas students. I also wish to close the gap that exists between domestic and foreign students. I will push for more peer support networks and counselling services that are specifically tailored to the needs of overseas students. Finally, I would like to say that in my role as your part-time international student officer, I will be committed to ensuring that foreign students are properly integrated, supported, and given every chance to achieve both personally and academically. Our time at university should be stimulating rather than burdensome, and I'm committed to implementing improvements that will enhance not overwhelming, and I am passionate about making positive changes to improve the lives of international students. I will work hard to ensure that our voices are at the heart of decision-making processes and that we all feel welcomed and valued as part of this diverse university community.
