Hi everyone! My name is Pravjoth Gill (you can call me Prav!). I am currently doing a Masters in Human Resources Management in the Faculty of Business and Law. I have previously experience with my previous university, Birmingham City University, particularly within the SU where I was a School Rep for one year, Student Trustee for three years, and Sabbatical Officer (Vice President Equity and Inclusion) for one year. This provides me a well-rounded experiences within the Student Union sector with representing student voice and to represent liberation groups.
As a Postgraduate Student myself, I have seen how there needs to be a community where postgraduate students can support each other in their one year of university life, as well as to chill outside their study to build up career opportunity, learn more about further study (e.g doing a PhD) and other routes that they want to take in their life and by being a Postgraduate Officer, I want to ensure that postgraduate student’s voices are being heard, provide them with opportunities for their further development, but also to build a community with both taught and research students.
