Last year was an incredible one here at De Montfort Students’ Union (DSU).
From opening a newly regenerated home, to seeing our biggest Elections EVER and appointing a new CEO, it was a really busy 12 months for us – but we haven’t stopped there.
On the same day we invite you to our Annual General Meeting (AGM), we’re releasing our Impact Report for 2016/17.
You’ll be able to see all of the changes we’ve been able to make for students at De Montfort University (DMU) and beyond to ensure your student life is the best it possibly can be and that every student at DMU is academically represented.
Ahtesham Mahmood, President of DSU in 2017/18, held the position of VP Student Activities in 2016/17. He said: “As a member of the Officer Team and Trustee Board in 2016/17 it has been a privilege to see the transformation that the students’ union has undertaken over the last 12 months.
“Both our new home – and the students’ union in general – are now a fantastic hub for students at DMU, and it is even better to see that we have been identified as a top 10 SU.
“Over the coming year, we will continue to strive for excellence by championing the student voice through innovative projects and campaigns, as well as delivering all of the brilliant services students at DMU have come to expect from us.
“I’m looking forward to another record-breaking year in 2017/18.”
We’re holding our AGM for 2017/18 in Campus Centre 2.01 between 5pm and 7pm on Tuesday 5 December.
You’ll be able to hold our Trustee Board to account, and sign off our finances for the academic year – and all DMU students are invited. You can find out more here.
