Flexible Futures Campaign: Your Voice, Your Experience, Your Future!

As part of the ongoing effort to make university life more accessible and supportive for all students, your Executive Officers, Liberation Officers, and Faculty Leads have been working together on something that could make a real difference for International Students.

They are launching the Flexible Futures Campaign, which focuses on exploring the option for more flexible payment plans for international students—something that could ease the financial pressure many of you face.

Why is this Important?

Many students have shared their struggles with paying large sums upfront or at fixed times during the year. The Flexible Futures Campaign seeks to address these concerns by proposing more adaptable and student-friendly payment plans.

But here's the thing—this campaign isn’t just about ideas; it’s about your experience and your voice. The officers representing you want to know: What do you think? Do you want a change? This is your chance to influence how things might be in the future!

How Can You Get Involved?

This campaign is all about hearing from you. Your feedback will help shape the discussions and decisions that will take place in university meetings. If you’ve ever felt that the current payment plan system doesn’t work for you, now is the time to speak up. Whether you support change or have concerns, your opinion matters.

Here’s how you can get involved:

  1. Share Your Experience

Tell the officers how the current payment plans have affected you. Have they been a barrier to your education? Or do you have ideas on how things could be improved? Your story will help the officers understand the issues from a student perspective. Join our Drop in Event here

  1. Join Feedback Sessions or Surveys

The officers are gathering feedback through surveys have your say here! Attend Student Council on the 13th February for a general discussion relating to International Student Experiences. Have your say on our Question of the Week at the Student Union Hub. Your input can directly impact the proposal for flexible payment plans!

  1. Speak to Your Officers

Your officers are here to represent you! Reach out to them if you want to discuss your concerns or ideas more personally. They are listening and will take your feedback to the right places.

  1. Spread the Word

Talk to your friends, classmates, and fellow students about the campaign. The more voices that are heard, the better. Encourage others to share their experiences and make sure the campaign is reaching as many students as possible.

Your officers are committed to representing you, but they need your feedback to do so effectively. Get in touch, join the conversation, and let’s shape a more flexible future for all international students.
