The world is on fire! The ice fields are melting. Our weather systems have gone crazy – with floods, droughts, disasters. The clock is ticking. Can we save the human race and protect our planet?
Come to the COP-OUT Event at De Montfort University
World leaders, scientists, experts and climate activists are having their say at COP26 in Glasgow. But, for the sake of future generations, we cannot sit back as passive observers. We need to make it clear where we stand on climate change. We need to be responsible actors and campaigners. We need to have our voices heard. This is a call for students, academics, community groups, concerned citizens and young people to get involved. Have your say! Make a difference!

8th November 2021
The Venue, De Montfort University

Undergraduate of the Year Awards 2022
The awards have been running since 2009, and with this being our 13th awards I can proudly say that this year should be the best year yet. The awards are a brilliant way to connect with big-name organisations such as AECOM, HSBC and Rolls-Royce. This year AECOM have partnered with us this year to offer the Built Environment Undergraduate of the Year Awards which may be especially of interest. AECOM are offering the winner a 12-week enhanced placement (6 weeks in a specific business area relevant to your degree discipline (such as building structures, water, ecology etc) and 6 weeks with a member of the leadership team gaining experience on the strategic and operational side).
The awards aren’t about what you’re studying and where, but the skills and qualities you embody as an individual.
To apply you will need to submit your online application via the Undergraduate of the Year awards website. The application process is straight forward and is made up of 3 sections:
· Personal information
· Essay style questions
· Psychometric tests
The process has been specifically created to mirror those they may experience in the graduate job application process, to give you valuable experience. Successful undergraduates will be invited to attend an assessment centre with the award partner, and the shortlisted candidates will be invited to a prestigious award ceremony in London on 29th April 2022.
Even if you don’t win all applicants will receive feedback on their psychometric tests, so the process is worth doing even if just for the experience and practice. It’s a win win!
