Time management makes life perfect and easy.

Hello,

My name is Harsh. I am currently studying MSc in Business Intelligence Systems and Data mining. I am originally from India and I speak Hindi, Gujarati and English fluently. Some of my hobbies are exploring different cultures, solving quizzes, travelling and playing football and tennis.

I have nominated myself for the post of ‘Mature Students representative’.

As a student, I understand the challenges you face while coming to University. It can be in terms of integrating into new environment, gaining personal and academics skills, managing academic and personal life and gaining knowledge about course related interests and expertise. These challenges can often lead to concentrating in multiple environments and improper time management and can ultimately affect your academics. That’s why I am stepping up to make your life more enjoyable and convenient at University.

Firstly, I will organise events where people can socialise and meet like-minded personalities. These events will be opportunity for me to understand issues and challenges pertaining to your interests while adjusting to University life. Various workshops to gain personal skills will be conducted. These workshops can help you boost confidence and help you gain knowledge and possibilities.

Being a student does not mean enjoying life only in University. I will conduct meet and greet events which will help us explore what Leicester has to offer. Doesn’t it sound fun visiting museums, cinema, concerts, sporting events, festivals and volunteering opportunities on weekends. These activities can help you learn about culture, city and gain more knowledge about various aspects of life which will help you later in professional life.

As a representative, it is my priority to make sure your voices are heard as I believe everyone deserves equal opportunities. I will be more than happy to hear complaints regarding studies or campus or anything that affects you in certain way and will try my best to resolve them. I like delivering things with utmost quality and hence, open to suggestions, which can improve the quality of my work.

What makes me an ideal candidate? I am confident and motivated personality with experience in managing sports and literary events, helping people engage and learn about possibilities in their areas of interests. Helping others has been my motto throughout my life. If I aim to achieve a goal, I put all the efforts to achieve that goal. I am sure you are definitely going to vote the best candidate.
