Broadcast your voice to where change can be made My name is Ajesh Raj, I am running for the President of our Students’ Union. I have been working for a political party for last 6 year with different responsibilities and I used to work for campus elections while I am an undergraduate. I already had the opportunity to run for the DMU election 2017 as international student representative. Throughout my time looked with the last year Students’ Union activities, I haven’t seen any progressive or positive changes. I want to develop the activities for students union further to try and provide the greatest student experience ever.

Our initial aim is to raise the awareness of our Student’ Union & all of the organisations, societies, & volunteering opportunities available to the 22,000 individuals (fulltime & part time) at DMU. I hope to work closely with Space of Social Media, TV, and Radio.

Secondly, we aim to develop the community spirit within our University & increase our reputation within De Montfort University. Promote: sport & society fundraisers, upcoming fixtures and DSU events to get as many people involved as possible.

Our final aim is to increase communication between the Students’ Union and the student body to try and provide everyone with regular updates on what the Student’s Union is doing to improve the experience of all students. I want to make sure you, whether you are a fresher or a final year, have some lifelong memories to take away too.
