Past Performances

Over the past decades the University has hosted some great and exciting names for all you students. I think you will be impressed to hear some of the names the University managed to get hold of! We have seen the likes of Pink Floyd, The Prodigy, Blur, Duran Duran, Elbow and even Coldplay! The venue has consistently performed well in reviews as well.  The Arena was voted the fourth Best Live Venue in the country in the 1996 Guardian University Survey.  Also the Students Union presents the Big Cheese as one of the biggest nights out in Leicester, selling out practically every Saturday night! The night consists of one thing cheesy music all night! In 1997 The Big Bad Cheese saw DJ sets played by Radio one star’s Scott Mills and Veron Kay!
