I'm Quinn Franklin, and I'm currently in my second year studying International Relations and Politics. Through De Montfort Students' Union, I'm a member of the Model United Nations Society and also serving as Treasurer of the Politics Society. Last year, I was a Course Representative, which has actually prepared me a lot for my role as a Student Trustee.
Outside of DSU, I'm a Frontrunner in the DMU Department of Politics and Public Policy, in which I co-administer Digital Communications.
I try and travel abroad much as possible on breaks and I enjoy learning French in my free time. I found that in my first year the DSU were incredibly engaging and provided plenty of opportunities for my friends and I to get involved, which has really made my experience enjoyable. This is exactly why I wanted to be on the Trustee Board, to ensure the experiences of prospective students goes beyond the great experience that I had. I definitely feel like I'm making a different as a Student Trustee, to ensure that policies remain in the student interest.
